Review Pixel SHOW!
Even the name recalling to square form, squared that exibition wasn´t.An example of organization, dedication and professionalism, the Zupi´s team showed once again, that yes, it´s possible to do, discuss, and create qualityfull design in Brazil.Even this lane still look for an national identity, important steps (as pixel show) has been given, with success.
With a lot of interactivity and wonderful speeches ( not saying about the nice coffee break), the spectators enjoyed a good time as they admired, learned and questioned many points of view about graphic design.Graphic Designers from many kinds of actuation area given example of portfolio and showed that good mood most walk side by side with conceptual excellence and project methods. Two studios that catched the spectators attention was the OCA and the SEAGULLSFLY, the first one with creative animations made to strong brands and step by step explanations about the 3D animation know-how, and the second one used they portfolio and experiences to prove that graphic design is synonym of constant improvement and intern planning. An good example of avant-garde design was given by Beto Macedo, designer from what he called “viral publicity ” (pop ups and interactive banners), reasoning about what is acceptable or not in this niche, with a lot of sympathy and comedy. Two other designers, Tinho (graffiti and plastic arts professional) and Fábio Samelo (photographer, and graphic designer) called the attention on the unconventional way to see the work, life, research and personal style construction, using the prerogative of “work for you’’ and do what brings you happiness and satisfaction. The graphic design “made in Brazil” don´t resume itself at the Rio de Janeiro- São Paulo axis, to prove this the NITROCORPZ boys from Goiânia, showed that having a good work and promoting it with the intention to bring more clients from Brazil and the world is the most important thing at this market. So, besides the Brazilian design have many accents, it don´t know border lines. Alexandre Ferreira brought at your speech the subject of art direction and magazine publishing. An experient professional, works as art director at Playboy and Magazine “A”, the both from Abril publisher. The couple Guto and Adriana Lins, married and business partners talked about the design to cultural applications such as theater plays posters, films posters, lettering for films openings and credits with notable concept and artistic language.
